Getting a rare diagnosis, and learning to face the emotions and challenges that come with it can be overwhelming and isolating. Although our CASK families are separated by distance across the globe, the CASK family network is rich with love and encouragement.
The services below are available to families that have joined the CASK Gene Family Network, by registering with the CASK Gene Foundation, and validating a CASK gene disorder diagnosis in the CASK Registry.
FAMILY SUPPORT AND SOCIAL GROUPS
Live Virtual CASK Mingle Groups
These groups are held live, using Zoom teleconference services, during the second week of each month. If you’ve already registered with the foundation, you can join these supportive social groups, and enjoy the company of other parents who share so many common CASK-related experiences.
Parent & Caregiver Support Facebook Group
In order to preserve privacy and security for our CASK families, this is a private group, and membership is limited to those parents, guardians, and caregivers who have validated their connection to a specific CASK gene disorder case in the CGF CASK Registry. This group provides opportunities for families to directly influence the decision makers of the CASK Gene Foundation, as we strive to better meet the needs of this CASK family network.
FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year, for #GivingTuesday, the community fundraises to support the needs of CASK families. The goal of of these scholarships is to help families with medical costs, therapies, equipment, or other such needs that may not be covered by insurance.
